Step 3 The Evil Begins

When it came to this chapter I had two objectives in mind. The first was to show what a sexist, ignorant, misogynist slob Sheriff Brown is and the second was to show the gradual, well in this chapter, Gaberdeen's rapid descent into madness .

I first had to have someone show they cared about Gaberdeen after she was sadistically abused by her father. Then I had to take that advocate and place her in an adversarial situation with Sheriff Brown. Mission accomplished!

Unfortunately it was a little too late to prevent Gaberdeen from claiming her second victim at the age of six.
